Daniel 4:
Daniel hesitated…

The king had summoned him for the strict purpose of explaining the dream, but Daniel did not like to be the bearer of bad news (especially to the most powerful man on the planet).

But Daniel was no coward, so he answered straightforwardly.

“You’ll go insane.”

And within the year it all happened, just as Daniel had described.

Nebuchadnezzar became like a wild animal and was treated as such—removed from the city to live among the other beasts. For the next seven years he ate grass from the field, his hair grew wild like an eagle’s feathers, and his nails like monstrous talons.

Then one day, as if a hypnotist had snapped his fingers, Nebuchadnezzar came to.

He stood up. He looked to the heavens and sang.
